Privacy-Policy
Our Privacy-Policy gives you an overview how we collect, process, store and transfer your personal data when you use Kaufhansel or our website.
Kaufhansel consists of three components: An application that runs on your smartphone, your desktop computer or in your browser. The Kaufhansel-Application uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to communicate with the Kaufhansel-Server. The Kaufhansel-Server processes your data and stores it in a database (SQLite).
Its not our goal to make money with the Kaufhansel. Although we give our best to protected your data, you should not use Kaufhansel to store sensitive data like passwords.

Which personal information do we collect?
Kaufhansel stores
- your email address
- your user name
- your password (only the hash value generated with bcrypt is stored)
- your shopping lists with all your items
- the user who invited you and the users you invited
- with which users you share shopping lists
Why does Kaufhansel collect this information?
We need that information to make Kaufhansel available and useful to you, to fulfil regulatory or legal obligations and to protected our legitimate interests. Your email address is required as a unique identifier. It allows us to find and provide you with your data after login. Features like password reset require an email address as well. We store from whom you were invited and who invited you to prevent the abuse of our invite system. Your data will be stored until you decide to delete your account or the data is no longer needed.

We use third party services to make Kaufhansel available.
STRATO
We use STRATO for sending and receiving emails and for the DNS settings of the zwohansel.de domain.

Your rights
You can delete you account including all you data at any time (e.g. through the application settings). Keep in mind that some shopping lists might not be deleted if you gave other users certain access rights to those lists. Please read the corresponding hints in the application before sharing your lists with other users.
Within the limitations set out in the EAA data protection laws you have the right of access, correction, restriction, objection, removal and portability of your data. Please contact us if you want to exercise your rights.
How we protect your data
We take the usual measures to protect your data, like regular software updates, access restrictions and encrypted communication. Only the hash of your password is stored.
Changes to the Privacy-Policy
We may change our Privacy-Policy to reflect changes in law, the Kaufhansel or our website.
